Group Weight Loss Coaching or One-to-one Weight Loss Coaching

Weight Loss is a big industry and Weight Loss Coaches are in high demand.  But what kind of Coaching is best for you?

I know from my own personal experience, some of the Big Name weight loss centers so called 'Coaches' are not that terrific.  I have personally been told by a so called 'Coach' that I had signed a contract saying I would stick to their program!  This was because I refused to measure my lettuce that I was using in my salads.  Let me just say, the incentive to continue with them, was not there.  I felt belittled and in my thinking... eating a lot of lettuce certainly did not make me fat.

But I digress, back to Groups or One-to-one weight loss coaching.

I first of all recommend, hiring an Independent Weight Loss Coach.  These Independent Coaches are generally more understanding of your struggles and are not limited to the Company 'program', so are more able to work with you effectively in the way you as an individual may need.

Cost is a big difference between Group Weight Loss Coaching and One-to-one Weight Loss Coaching.  Often Independent Weight Loss Coaches use the same overall outline for their programs for either Group or One-to-one, but as a Group they can charge less because the Coach is committing less of their own time.  The down-fall of Group Weight Loss Coaching is customization.  With Groups it is not as easy to accommodate everyone's individual needs, which is another reason why the cost is lower with Group Weight Loss Coaching.   With One-to-one Weight Loss Coaching, the Coach works very close with the client and the program is individually tailored to the individual needs of that client.... but that is where the cost goes up.

Last thing to consider is confidentiality.  There are those who do not want to share anything (and sometimes personal stuff does come up) in a Group Setting.  If you do not want to share anything, then One-to-one Weight Loss Coaching may be the best solution for you.

So over all;  Group Weight Loss Coaching is much less cost, but possibly less effective, as well as you are sharing with a Group.  One-to-one Weight Loss Coaching may be more effective, but the cost is much higher, and anything you share is strictly between you and the Coach.

So what type of Weight Loss Coaching appeals to you most (Group or One-to-one)?  I would love to know.
